¡Presente!: An Exhibit of Contemporary Hispanic Folk Art in Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month

¡Presente! is a juried exhibition celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, open to artists with Hispanic descent and artists who are part of intercultural families with Hispanic descent. The exhibition features open medium 2D and 3D artworks that explore and pay homage to Hispanic heritage, cultural traditions, Hispanic history, vibrant colors and imagery typical of Hispanic folk art, and the beliefs of Hispanic communities.

The exhibition will take place in The Vault, a historical bank vault within the d'Art Center that creates an intimate viewing experience. This competitive call will accommodate approximately 20 works. The exhibition runs September 13 - October 18, 2025, with a dual opening reception on Friday, September 19th, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. The exhibition will be curated by d'Art Center Gallery Director Amanda Bradley and judged by a panel of d'Art Center's professional artists and staff members. A Best in Show award of $300 will be selected. The exhibition will also be featured digitally on d'Art Center's archive site, with a Facebook Live and YouTube upload of the reception awards.

Entry fee is $25 for 3 submissions (minimum 3 images required). Additional submissions beyond 3 are $5 each, with a maximum of 10 works that can be juried. For 3D works, artists should create tile images or use additional image slots for detail images. Notifications will be sent by email by 5 p.m. on July 28, 2025. Accepted works must arrive by 5 p.m. on September 6, 2025. Artists are responsible for shipping costs. Works must include pre-paid return labels through FedEx or UPS. The d'Art Center retains a 60/40 commission on sales (60% artist, 40% d'Art Center). Works can also be marked NFS (not for sale). For questions about eligibility, contact [email protected].
