About This Call
The 34th Annual Powderhorn Art Fair (PAF) is a Fine Arts and Fine Crafts Upper Midwest Regional Art Fair taking place in the 66-acre Powderhorn Park, where 190 artists will circle the tree-lined Powderhorn Lake. This art fair is a collaboration between the Powderhorn Neighborhood Association (PPNA) and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB), with proceeds going towards programs that help strengthen the community. The fair attracts artists from over twenty states and 200 cities, making it a local and regional favorite.
The fair runs Saturday, August 2nd and Sunday, August 3rd from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with setup on Friday, August 1st from 12:00 pm - 6:00 PM. A maximum of 160 artists can be juried into Main Exhibitor categories across mediums including Clay, Digital Art, Drawing, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Metal, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, and Wood. The fair does not accept buy-sell, mass-produced items, lotions, soaps, or other country craft items. All work must be original, designed, and created by the accepted artist, and the artist's presence is required on-site for the entire show.
The application deadline is Friday, February 28th, 2025 with a non-refundable $25 jury fee. Notification to exhibit is by Monday, April 7th, 2025, with confirmation deadline Monday, April 21st, 2025 and a non-refundable $275 booth fee due. PAF uses a blind jury of 3 judges who score based on Impact, Style/Design, and Technical Skill. Awards include First, Second, Third Place, Honorable Mention, and Spirit of Powderhorn recipients who will be invited back with jury and booth fees waived. Artists must provide their own 10' x 10' white tent, tables, chairs, and merchandising materials for their 11' x 11' booth space on grass near the lake.
