About This Call
Potters Market at the Mint (PMM) will mark its 20th anniversary on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Mint Museum Randolph in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event will feature the work of North Carolina ceramicists producing both functional and conceptual wares. The 2026 show will include approximately 55 booths with a mix of 10'x10' and 10'x15' booth sizes, with optional premium location upcharges. A Friday Night Preview Party with sales opportunities will take place on September 25, 2026, with load-in and set-up beginning that day.
Applications are open to ceramic artists whose primary residence and primary studio location are both in North Carolina. Individual and group applications are accepted. The application fee is $40.00 (nonrefundable). Applicants must submit 6 images through zapplication.org. Applications open January 24, 2026 at noon and close March 1, 2026 at midnight. Jurors will deliberate March 2-15, 2026, with selections and wait list announced March 16, 2026.
The 2026 event features enhanced artist awards in honor of the 20th anniversary: the Mellanay Delhom Award ($3,000 cash and automatic entry to the next Potters Market), the Daisy Wade Bridges Award ($2,000), the Peggy and Bob Culbertson Best New Exhibitor Award ($1,000), and a new People's Choice Award ($500). Jurors are Lucy Lacoste (Lucy Lacoste Gallery), Michael Sherrill (Ceramicist and Sculptor), and Shannon Stratton (Executive Director, Ox-Bow School of Art). Roberto Lugo will serve as the awards juror during the Potters Preview Party on Friday, September 25. A public Artist Talk and panel discussion on ceramics past, present, and future will take place September 27, 2026, with complimentary tickets available for participating artists.
