Potato/Potahto: Sides of Midwestern Life

Potato/Potahto: Sides of Midwestern Life is open to artists 18 years of age and older. All entries must represent original works of art or design. The exhibition is open to any and all traditional and non-traditional visual arts media and genres.

The non-refundable entry fee is $30 for up to 5 images. Submissions should be high-quality JPEG files at 300dpi, free of watermarks, signatures, or text. Files should be named with your last name and an abbreviated title (for example, Smith_PotatoFarm.JPEG). Payment is payable by U.S. check made payable to 22 North and mailed to 22 North Gallery, 22 N. Huron Street, Ypsilanti, MI 48197, or by credit card via PayPal. Entries will be considered for exhibition after verification of entry fee payment. All works must arrive ready to install no later than October 31st.

The exhibition will be juried by a 3-5 member panel of professional and academic advisors. The jurors will recommend works to the exhibition curator, who will make the final selection. All work exhibited will be offered for sale unless indicated otherwise on the entry form. Shipping and delivery costs for selected works both to and from the gallery will be the responsibility of the artist. Shipped works must be sent in an easily reusable container or packaging with return shipping prepaid. 22 North will retain 15% commission on all works sold. All unsold work will be returned within 2 weeks of the close of the exhibition. Artwork that remains at the gallery 3 weeks after the close of the exhibition will become the property of 22 North. The gallery will not be held liable for any damages incurred during shipping or while on display. An opening reception will be held on November 6, 2016, 6 to 9 pm at the gallery as part of the First Fridays Ypsilanti Art Walk.
