Post-It Exhibition

This exhibition is inspired by the Art of the Postcard. Entries must be original, human-created artworks. All original media is acceptable, including drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, collage, fabric work, glasswork, and digital media. AI-generated art is not eligible, nor are works created in a workshop or class under close instruction of a teacher. No reproductions are accepted, with the exception of photography and digital art.

Work must be either 5" x 7" or 4" x 6" and able to be shipped in a standard 6" x 9" envelope. Accepted work must be unframed and will be hung via a magnetic system. Special considerations may be made for works in glass or heavier than normal postcard materials. Each submitted piece must include on the back: (1) Artist Name, (2) Name of Work, (3) medium/full description of materials used. All art submitted must be for sale. The gallery will take a 35% commission on sold pieces. The sale price must be provided during the application process and may not be subsequently changed.

Entry fee is $35 for one to three entries. Exhibition runs November 5 – December 2, 2025 at The Firefly Artists Gallery, 90 Main Street, Northport, NY. Selected works drop off: October 30, 12pm-8pm or November 1, 12pm-8pm. Artists reception: November 13, 7pm-9pm. Artwork pickup: December 3 or 4, 12pm-8pm. A storage fee of $5 per day will be accrued for pieces left beyond December 5, 2025. Awards: First Prize $150, Second Prize $75, Third Prize $50, and Honorable Mention. Artists must provide insurance coverage for their own works. Physical drop off and pick up is strongly preferred, but if shipping, a prepaid return shipping label must be included. Note: There is no wheelchair access to this venue, which is located in a historic building.
