Portraits & Figures: The 4th Annual National Juried Show

The Rice Gallery of Fine Art is accepting submissions for Portraits & Figures: The 4th Annual National Juried Show, celebrating the human form through original portraits and figure paintings. Artists may submit 1 to 5 images of their best human figure paintings to be judged individually by an experienced panel of fine art curators and professional gallery personnel. All submissions must be original paintings only—no prints, reproductions, or photography. Artwork must be completely dry, framed, wired securely, and ready to hang in a fine art gallery setting.

Selected paintings will be featured for sale in an exclusive gallery exhibition at The Rice Gallery of Fine Art in Overland Park, Kansas, opening Friday, February 1st, 2019 and concluding Friday, March 15th, 2019. All selected works are eligible for cash prizes, with winners announced no later than February 1st, 2019. Selected paintings will also be included in an online digital art opening presented via Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and www.thericegallery.com. The show will be promoted through print, mail, and social media advertising.

Entry fee is $35 (non-refundable). All entries must be submitted via CAFÉ by Monday, December 17th, 2018. Selected paintings must be received by Friday, January 25th, 2019. Artists are responsible for all shipping expenses to and from the gallery. The Rice Gallery will collect a 35% commission on any paintings sold during the exhibition. Unsold work will be returned via shipment or local pickup no later than Monday, March 25th, 2019.
