About This Call
Gallerium presents Portraits, a dual exhibition and publication opportunity to explore and showcase humans through their faces. Visual artists in any medium from anywhere in the world are encouraged to share real or imaginary human faces through their art. Self-portraits, group portraits, and portraits of other people are accepted. All abstract and representational artworks are accepted.
Selected artworks will be published in The Book of Arts: Portraits publication, available in both free online and high-quality print versions. The publication will be promoted and distributed internationally to thousands of readers including experts, galleries, curators, and art enthusiasts. Selected artworks will also be showcased in an online group exhibition from July 10 to September 10, 2023, and published in a stylish exhibition catalogue. Artists will receive a digital certificate, online profile page on the Biafarin platform, exhibition poster link, and promotional badges. An insightful report containing visit statistics, reviews, popularity metrics, and sales data will be sent to each artist regularly during the exhibition period.
Submission is free. If selected, a USD 40 selection fee applies. Artists can submit up to 5 artworks, with a maximum of 2 artworks accepted per artist. Artworks must be original works created by the entrant without instructor supervision. Artworks created within the last 5 years are preferred, though there is no limit on creation year. There is no size limit. Artwork photos should show only the artwork with no frames or extraneous backgrounds. Artworks that include pornography, violence, racial or religious hatred, or inappropriate or offensive content are not admissible. Artists must have all rights for presenting and publishing artworks internationally.
