Portfolio 2021: The Best of 2020

Portfolio 2021: The Best of 2020 is a web-based exhibit open to members of Front Range Contemporary Quilters. The art accepted into this show will be featured on the FRCQ website from January 31 through December 31, 2021, displaying the best work completed by members in 2020. This is a juried exhibit with Martha Wolfe serving as juror. The juror will select the best possible group of entries that collectively showcase the diversity of work being made in the region within the art quilt medium.

Eligibility requires membership in FRCQ for 2021 prior to submission. Work must meet the definition: "The art quilt is a creative visual work that is layered and stitched or that references this form of stitched layered structure." All work must have been completed during the 2020 calendar year and be original. Single, diptych, triptych, or other multiple-piece works, framed, mounted, three-dimensional, or wearable works may be submitted. Work that was begun, worked on, or resulted from a workshop and is in the style of the workshop teacher is not eligible. Each member may enter up to three art quilts.

Entries are submitted online via the CaFE system between November 20 and December 31, 2020. The entry fee is $35.00 (nonrefundable). Each entry requires two images: one overall image and one detail image in JPEG format, 1920 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5 MB file size. Images must be in sharp focus on a neutral background with all edges of the artwork visible and no signatures or watermarks. Notification of selected work will be sent by January 20, 2021.
