About This Call
Pop Culture & Trashy is a juried competition and group exhibition open to artists of all mediums and locations. The theme is open to interpretation. ShockBoxx Gallery in Hermosa Beach is seeking submissions for an upcoming group exhibition in early November 2021.
Entry fee is $25 for a single image entry, with additional images available at $5 each (up to 8 images total). Video and audio uploads are also available. Submissions must include a minimum of 1 work sample and a maximum of 8 total samples (images, video, or audio combined). Artworks will be judged based on creativity, originality, quality of work, composition, and overall artistic ability.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three pieces selected by jury, along with award certificates and featured wall space in the exhibition. Competition winners will be announced in early to mid-October via email. The exhibition will be featured on Artsy, and winners will be published on the PMS Artwork Past Competition Winners site. Selected artists will receive details via email regarding delivery of work to the gallery for the November 2021 show.
