About This Call

Polymer Sculpted is an exhibition of fine art polymer clay artworks from across the country. Polymer clay is relatively new as a fine art medium and is versatile in achieving a wide variety of forms and textures. It has the ability to imitate other materials such as wood or gemstones, and can also be used to create hyper realistic work as well. This exhibit will showcase polymer clay and the fascinating and impressive ways it can be implemented in fine art. Works may include other materials but polymer clay should be the focal point of the work and at least 75% of the composition.

This exhibition will take place in The Vault, d'Art Center's smaller exhibition space, to create a more intimate and close up experience for patrons. The Vault is a historical bank vault within The Center in the heart of Norfolk Arts District (The NEON District). This will be a competitive call as this intimate space will only be able to accommodate about 25 works. The exhibition runs from Saturday, February 14th through Saturday, March 14th, 2026, with a dual opening reception on Friday, February 20th from 5:30-7:30pm.

Entry fee is $30 for up to 3 submissions, with each additional submission over 3 costing an additional $5 (maximum 10 works). Artists must submit 3-10 images for jury consideration. This is a juried exhibition curated by d'Art Center Gallery Director Amanda Bradley. Best in Show award is $300, selected by a panel of d'Art Center's professional artists and staff members. Gallery commission on sales is 60/40 (60% artist, 40% d'Art Center). The exhibition will also be featured digitally on d'Art Center's archive site.
