Poetry in Motion

Lincoln Into Art, a contemporary fine-art gallery in historic Gettysburg, PA, is seeking paintings and drawings that depict movement—whether organic or inorganic, real or abstract. This special exhibition will run September 1-29, 2016. Winning artists will have the opportunity to display and sell their works during Gettysburg's busy tourist season, which attracts millions of visitors annually.

Accepted media includes 2-dimensional paintings or drawings in oil, watercolor, acrylic, pencil, encaustic, pastels, or mixed media. Illustrations and photographs are also accepted. Artwork must arrive at the gallery in ready-to-hang condition. All exhibited works must be priced and available for sale. The gallery will host a 4-week exhibition and an Artists' Reception for the public.

Eligibility is national. The entry fee is $35 for the first image submission; additional submissions cost $5 each. Submissions should include 1-20 images. Judges are Elaine Henderson, Gallerist at Lincoln Into Art, and Wendy Allen, Artist. Emerging artists are encouraged to apply. Note: Although Gettysburg is known as a Civil War location, submitted artwork does not have to pertain to any particular subject or genre.
