Plein Air@Altitude 2024

Fraser Valley Arts announces the Fourth Annual Plein Air Festival, Plein Air @ Altitude, taking place Friday, August 23rd through Sunday, September 1st, 2024. The festival features painting locations including private lands with Colorado Headwaters Land Trust easements, Winter Park Resort, Grand Lake, and Rocky Mountain National Park. Last year, juried artists from across the country sold over 80 paintings.

The 2024 judge is John Lintott, a renowned Colorado landscape artist. The festival will include a painting day at Winter Park Resort, cash prizes for award winners, evening artist gatherings, a reception and gala open house Saturday evening in downtown Winter Park, and a Plein Air Art Festival on Sunday, September 1st. Accomplished plein air artists willing to participate for the majority of the week are invited to apply.

Entry fee is $55.00. Applicants must submit 3-5 images. This event is a fundraiser for Fraser Valley Arts, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Fraser Valley Arts will retain 40 percent of all sales revenue with the artist receiving 60%. Commissioned pieces are permitted at the same rate. Payments for work sold will be mailed shortly after the exhibition closes.
