Plein Air Artists Colorado 23rd National Juried Fine Art Exhibition and Sale

Plein Air Artists Colorado's 23rd Annual National Juried Fine Art Exhibition and Sale will be held June 1-28, 2019 at Studio 8369, 1117 Grand Avenue, Grand Lake, CO 80447.

Eligibility: Open to all current PAAC members. Only original paintings completed en plein air in 2017, 2018, and until the deadline in 2019 are eligible. Work must be two-dimensional media, excluding photography, fiber, and digital media. Studio paintings, still life paintings not clearly completed outdoors, work done in class or under instructor guidance, and works previously exhibited in PAAC National shows are not eligible. Maximum unframed size is 320 square inches.

Entry Requirements: Submit 3-4 digital images through CaFÉ. Entry fee is $45 for up to 3 submissions, with an additional $10 for a 4th image. A maximum of 2 images may be selected for exhibition. Artwork must be professionally framed in gallery-quality wood frame or gallery wrap, wired and ready to hang. Works on paper must be under glass or Plexiglas. Minimum sale price is $450. All fees are non-refundable. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and insuring their own work.

Deadline: February 22, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Notification of acceptance will be sent by March 6, 2019. Shipped works may arrive May 15-26, 2019, or hand-delivered May 25-26, 2019 between 11am-5pm. Opening reception and awards presentation is June 1, 2019 from 4pm-7pm. Nearly $20,000 in prizes were awarded last year. Entries will be independently scored by a panel of nationally recognized professional plein air artists who are signature members in major national art organizations.
