Plein Air Artists Colorado 20th Annual National Juried Fine Art Exhibition and Sale

Plein Air Artists Colorado's 20th Annual National Juried Fine Art Exhibition and Sale will be held September 1-30, 2016 at Mary Williams Fine Arts, 5311 Western Avenue, Suite 112, Boulder, Colorado 80301. This exhibition is open to all current PAAC members working in two-dimensional media, excluding photography, mixed media, fiber, and digital media. Only original paintings completed en plein air in the last two years (2014, 2015, and until the deadline in 2016) are eligible. Works previously exhibited in PAAC shows are not eligible. Maximum painting size is 575 square inches including frame. Paintings must be professionally framed in fine art gallery-quality wood frames, wired and ready to hang.

Entry deadline is May 17, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fee is $45 for up to three submissions, with an additional $10 for a fourth image. A minimum of three submissions is required. Entrants will be notified by May 26, 2016. Accepted works must arrive at the gallery between August 1-11, 2016 (with exceptions by pre-arrangement until August 15). A $25 handling charge per artist applies for shipped entries. The artists' opening reception is Thursday, September 1 at 5-8 p.m.

Over $20,000 in prizes were awarded last year. Entries will be blind juried by nationally recognized professional plein air artists. The juror of awards is Jeff Legg, PAAC Master Signature Member. All accepted works must be available for sale with a 40% gallery commission, 10% PAAC commission, and 50% to the artist. Unsold hand-delivered work must be picked up by October 7, 2016.
