Plein Air Artists Colorado 17th National Juried Fine Art Exhibition and Sale

Plein Air Artists Colorado's 17th National Juried Fine Art Exhibition and Sale will be held August 10-30, 2013 at Abend Gallery Fine Art, 2260 E Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80206.

Eligibility is open to all current PAAC members working in two-dimensional media, excluding photography, mixed media, fiber, and digital media. Only original paintings completed en plein air in 2011, 2012, and until the deadline in 2013 are eligible. Works previously exhibited in PAAC shows, studio paintings, and still life paintings completed indoors are not eligible. Work done in class or under instructor guidance is not eligible. Paintings must be professionally framed in fine art gallery-quality wood frames, wired and ready to hang. All accepted work must be available for sale. Entry requires submission of 3-5 digital images through CaFÉ. Entry fee is $45 for up to three submissions, with additional images at $10 each (maximum 5 images, maximum 3 may be selected for exhibition).

Entry deadline is April 28, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entrant notifications will be emailed by May 6, 2013. Accepted work must arrive at the gallery by August 1, 2013. The exhibition includes an Artists' Opening Reception on August 10, 5-8 p.m., and a Plein Air "Quick Draw" painting event on August 10, 9 a.m. to noon. Juror of Awards is William Scott Jennings, PAAC Master Signature Member. Over $15,000 in prizes were awarded last year. Sales commission is 40% gallery, 10% PAAC, 50% artist. Unsold hand-delivered work may be picked up September 2-13, 2013. Shipped works will be returned to artists by September 14, 2013. Artists will be paid for sold works by October 30, 2013.
