Plein Air @ Altitude 2023

Fraser Valley Arts announces the Third Annual Plein Air @ Altitude, a juried plein air festival running Friday, August 25th through Sunday, September 3rd, 2023. The festival will feature a selection of private lands and noteworthy Colorado Headwaters Land Trust easements, a Painting Day at Winter Park Resort, and a Paint the Trail quick draw event in Winter Park.

Community events include evening artist gatherings, a reception and open house Saturday evening in downtown Winter Park, and a Plein Air Art Festival throughout Sunday, September 3rd. Scott Ruthven will serve as the Featured Artist Judge. Accomplished plein air artists willing to participate for the full week or the majority of the week are invited to apply. The entry fee is $55.00, though it is free for Artist members in good standing of Fraser Valley Arts.

This event is a fundraiser for Fraser Valley Arts, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Fraser Valley Arts will retain 40 percent of all sales revenue generated throughout the sale with the artist receiving 60 percent. Commissioned pieces are also permitted at the same rate. Payments for all work sold will be mailed shortly after the exhibition closes. Applications open March 22, 2023 and close May 31st, 2023 or when capacity is full. Submit 2-5 images of your work.
