About This Call
Fraser Valley Arts announces the Second Annual Plein Air Festival, taking place Friday, September 2nd through Saturday, September 10th. The festival will highlight a selection of private lands and noteworthy Colorado Headwaters Land Trust easements, an Artists' Day at Grand County Historical Society's Pioneer Village Museum, and a Paint the Trail quick draw event in Winter Park.
Community events include evening artist gatherings, a reception and open house Friday evening at the Winter Park/Fraser Chamber of Commerce, and a Plein Air Art Festival throughout the day on Saturday, September 10th. Debra Joy Groesser serves as the Featured Artist Judge.
Accomplished plein air artists willing to participate for the full week are welcome to apply. The entry fee is $55.00. Applicants must submit 2-5 images. Proceeds from paintings sold during the festival will be split between artists (60%) and Fraser Valley Arts/Colorado Headwaters Land Trust nonprofits (40%). The application deadline is May 30th, 2022, or when capacity is full.
