About This Call
The 2nd Annual Conference on BIPOC Game Studies (C-BIPOC) invites artists, designers, and developers to submit their interactive work for our 2027 Creative Showcase.
This exhibition celebrates innovative projects that explore, critique, or expand upon the intersections of race, culture, identity, and play. We are looking for creative work that pushes the boundaries of storytelling and interactive design, whether it lives on a screen, a table, or in a gallery space.
Accepted Media Formats:
-Digital Games: Independent video games, playable vertical slices, alt-ctrl projects, and mobile experiences.
-Tabletop & Analog: Tabletop RPGs (tRPGs), board games, card games, and print-and-play modules.
-Interactive & Digital Art: XR (VR/AR) experiences, interactive installations, net art, and digital mixed-media that utilize game mechanics or play as a central thesis.
Remote Participation:
While the physical exhibition will take place at the University of Miami, we also support global and remote participation. Creators who cannot attend in person will be featured in our official digital show reel and online archive.
Eligibility
This call is open to all independent creators, artists, student designers, and indie studios. We especially encourage submissions from BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) creators, as well as projects that engage with themes of diversity, decolonization, and cultural storytelling in games.
How to Submit
Please review the full showcase guidelines and tech requirements on our official website before submitting.
