Plates, Platters, and Nothing Else Matters

Plates, Platters, and Nothing Else Matters is a national juried ceramic exhibition open to artists 18 years and older residing in the continental USA. Juror Garth Johnson, curator of Ceramics at Arizona State University Museum and ASU Art Museum Ceramics Research Center, will select approximately 75 works for the exhibition.

All work must be primarily ceramic and ready to hang or display on a shelf. Entries must have been created within the last two years and not previously shown at LBIF. Singular plates or platters should not exceed 3 ft in width and 3 ft in height, and not exceed 25 lbs. Installations should not exceed 6 ft in width and 7 ft in height. Work must have a retail value not exceeding $10,000. Submit up to three digital JPEG images (minimum 1920 pixels on longest side, 72 dpi or larger, maximum 5 MB) with an entry fee of $35. Include an artist statement and resume with your application.

Accepted artists will be notified by June 1st, 2017. All work must be for sale and available for the duration of the exhibition. The LBIF will retain a 40% commission on all works sold. One Grand Prize of $1,000 will be awarded, with other monetary awards possible. Exhibition dates: June 30th to July 19th, 2017. Artists must provide return postage for their works.
