About This Call
The Plano Art Association 125 Show 2023 is open to all artists living within 125 miles of Plano. The exhibition runs from June 28 through July 30, 2023, at the Eisemann Center, 2351 Performance Dr., Richardson, TX 75082. The awards reception is scheduled for Friday, July 7 at 7:00 p.m.
Competition categories include 2-D Artwork (Objective), 2-D Artwork (Non-Objective), 3-D Artworks, and Photography (Traditional & Digital). Awards include first place ($500), second place ($300), and third place ($150) in each category, plus a Best of Show award of $1,000. Three certificates of Merit ($50 each) will be awarded to finalists in each category. Entry fee is $40.00 per work (maximum 3 works). PAA members receive a 20% discount with a coupon code.
Artwork requirements: Submit 1-3 images. 2-D works must not exceed 54" in width (including frame). 3-D works must fit through a standard doorway and weigh no more than 200 pounds. All wall-hanging works must be equipped with D-rings only, ready to hang. Each piece must be labeled with artist name, title, size, medium, and price on the back. Works must be original and not previously exhibited in a Plano Art Association show. Nude figurative subject matter will not be accepted. Artwork must remain in the exhibit until the show ends on July 30. Delivery is Monday, June 26 (1 p.m. to 6 p.m.). Art pick-up is Monday, July 31 (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.). If work is sold, the Plano Art Association retains a 30% commission. The artist is responsible for all shipping and delivery costs. Notification of acceptance is Saturday, June 17.
