Plano Art Association: 125 Show 2015

The Plano Art Association invites artists 18 and older living within a 125-mile radius of Plano to submit work for the 125 Show. Entry fee is $40 for non-members or $25 for current PAA members. Submissions must include 1-3 images of original artwork completed within the last two years without instructor supervision.

Three categories are accepted: 2-D Artwork, 3-D Artworks, and Printmaking/Photography (Traditional & Digital). Each category will be awarded first place ($300), second place ($200), and third place ($100). The show runs April 27 through May 17, 2015, with a reception and awards presentation on May 7 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. (awards announcement at 6:30 p.m.). Artwork delivery is April 16-18, and pickup is May 19-21.

Artwork must be original and not previously accepted into the 125 Show or THE ARTS gallery. Works must not be copies of another artist's work or reproductions through computer-generated, photographic, or offset-printing methods. Maximum frame size is 50 x 50 inches in either dimension; sculpture must not exceed 4 x 4 feet. All wall-hanging works must be wired with screw eyes or D-rings and ready to hang with backing. The Plano Art Association handles all sales with no commission taken; a voluntary 15% donation is requested in the event of a sale. Artists are responsible for arranging payment of sales tax. Notification of acceptance or non-acceptance will be provided by April 10-11.
