Plano Art Association 125 Show

The Plano Art Association 125 Show is open to all artists living within a 125-mile radius of the city limits of Plano, Texas. The competition accepts entries in three categories: 2-D Artwork, 3-D Artworks, and Photography (Traditional & Digital). Artists may submit 1-3 images/works per entry. Entry fee is $35.00 per work for non-members; PAA members receive a 25% discount with a coupon code. An additional $35.00 media fee applies.

Awards include first place ($500), second place ($300), and third place ($150) in each category, plus a Best of Show award of $1,000. Certificates of Merit ($50 each) will be awarded to three finalists in each category. Jurors include Sara Scherper (Gallery Educator, Nasher Sculpture Center), Jane Cornish Smith (Adjunct Art Instructor, Texas A&M University-Commerce), and Dan Burkholder (photographer and artist).

The show runs from Friday, June 4, 2021 through Sunday, June 27, 2021 at the Eisemann Center, 2351 Performance Dr., Richardson, TX 75082. Artwork delivery is Tuesday, June 1, 2021 (1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.). Eisemann Center hours are noon to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Artwork must be original, not previously entered in a 125 Show, and must meet size requirements: 2-D works must not exceed 54" in width (including frame); 3-D works must fit through a standard doorway and not exceed 200 pounds. All wall-hanging works must be wired with D-rings and ready to hang. No nude subject matter will be accepted. Notification of acceptance will be sent Monday, May 24, 2021. Art pick-up is Monday, June 28, 2021 (12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.). The Plano Art Association does not handle shipping or pay shipping expenses.
