PJAS Emerging Artist Distinction

The PJAS Emerging Artist Distinction identifies early-career artists whose work reflects a distinct perspective and strong potential for continued development. The distinction is awarded to a limited number of artists each cycle and is intended to highlight practices that demonstrate intentionality, clarity of vision, and a developing formal or conceptual direction. Submissions are considered across visual and interdisciplinary forms. Particular attention is given to work that conveys a defined approach or emerging visual language, rather than technical refinement alone. Selected artists are featured within PJAS editorial releases and may be included in curated presentations of emerging work across the journal’s platforms.
