Pixels

Impasto Art Gallery presents Pixels, a group exhibition seeking works inspired by pixels. The theme is open to interpretation. This is an opportunity for artists to exhibit and sell their work in Impasto Art Gallery's urban chic space in Prospect New Town. The gallery will sponsor an opening reception night on Friday, April 6th, 2018 from 6pm-9pm for artists and collectors, including wine and appetizers. The exhibition runs April 2nd - April 30th, 2018. The gallery also showcases the exhibition online with modern presentation and convenient online shopping, and features and promotes artists' work through social media channels daily.

Open to all artists working in acceptable mediums including photography, fabric, mixed media, new media, paintings (acrylic, oil, watercolor), drawings, ink, graphite, pastels, colored pencil, encaustic, and fiber arts. Jewelry, video, and sculpture are excluded. No reproductions accepted; each entry must be original in concept and composition executed solely by the submitting artist. Artwork cannot exceed 36 inches in any dimension including frame. All work must be wired and ready to hang on the wall. Selected artists must sign an artist agreement. Impasto Art Gallery takes 25% commission on all pieces sold during retail and online exhibition.

Entry deadline is Friday, March 16th, 2018. Artists will be notified March 19th, 2018. Artwork must be received by the gallery no later than Friday, March 30th, 2018 (hand delivered or shipped by FedEx or UPS). Entry fee is $35.00 for the first image, $5.00 for each additional image (up to 10 total images). Two-dimensional works must have secure hanging wire on the back. Canvas art does not need to be framed but must be wired for hanging. All other art must be framed and ready to hang. Work must be completely dry upon receipt. Potentially smearable work on paper must be glazed for protection. At the conclusion of the exhibit, unsold art must be picked up during times selected by Impasto Art Gallery or shipped back to the artist (artist provides pre-paid return label). All artists who sell artwork must complete a W-9 form prior to payment.
