Pixel Pastel Online Exhibition

Pixel Pastel is an international online exhibition open to pastel artists globally, 18 years of age or older. The medium must be soft pastel on at least 90% of the painted surface; oil pastels do not qualify. All works must be original art and cannot have been executed in a workshop or under another artist's supervision, or done from a published photo. Work previously accepted in a PSEC exhibition is not eligible.

Entry fees are $40 USD for PSEC members and $50 USD for non-members. Entry fees are non-refundable. You may submit up to 3 images, however only 1 or 2 images can be accepted in the show. Submissions must be high-quality JPEG files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images should be cropped to show only the artwork itself, with no visible matting, frames, or background distractions, and must be oriented correctly. Payments must be made by credit card. After submission and payment, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images until the entry deadline of October 16, 2023. Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline, and incomplete entries will be disqualified.

All cash awards will be paid via PayPal; winners will need a PayPal account and will be responsible for any fees PayPal charges. Canadian artists can be paid by Interac e-transfer. PSEC will be responsible for any shipping fees related to material prizes. By entering this competition, you grant PSEC a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce images of your artwork on their websites, newsletters, and social media accounts, with credit to you.
