Photomural Art Call: Show Us Your World with King County Metro and Photographic Center Northwest

Photographic Center Northwest (PCNW) and King County Metro (Metro) are seeking photographic submissions for the Photomural Art Call with the theme "Show Us Your World - Cultural Heritage." This international call is open to all ages. Artists are invited to submit images that represent their interpretation of cultural heritage, including culture, values and traditions passed down from previous generations; shared bonds within a community; or one's history, identity, and bond to the past, present and future. All submissions will be considered regardless of subject matter.

100 photographs will be selected and printed at 2 feet high by 8 feet wide on high-quality exterior grade signage material. Selected images will be installed in King County Metro shelters for up to 10 years and displayed throughout Seattle and greater King County. Images must conform to a panoramic 4:1 frame ratio. Artists may crop, tile, collage, or stitch images together to achieve this format. Submissions should avoid large blocks of color or negative space and maintain themes appropriate for all age groups (PG-13). Selected artists will be notified in October 2022 via email, and images will be installed over a one-year period beginning in 2022.

Submissions must include 5-10 images. The entry fee is $20 for 5 images, with an additional $5 per image for up to 10 total images. Images must be maximum 1920px x 480px and under 5mb per image for submission. If selected, final files must be minimum 14,000px on the long side, 300 resolution, and at least 200mb. Artist names and image titles will appear alongside the printed panels. An artist's statement may be submitted and excerpts may be used in publication.
