Photography Now 2016

Photography Now 2016 is the Center for Photography at Woodstock's annual call for entries. Eight to ten photographers will be selected to be featured in a group exhibition in CPW's gallery from April 30 – June 19, 2016. James Estrin, senior staff photographer for The New York Times and founder and co-editor of The New York Times' Lens Blog, will select the winning entries. One photographer will also be selected for the Directors' Purchase Prize, in which a print is purchased for CPW's Permanent Print Collection, held at the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art at SUNY New Paltz.

All photographic techniques and approaches are welcome, including straight photography, fine art, narrative, documentary, landscape, social issues, still life, mixed media incorporating photography, photographic installations, and digital imaging and collage. Submissions must include 6, 10, or 20 images and an artist statement (up to 2000 characters) or bio (up to 1 page). Entry fees are $50 for 6 images, $60 for 10 images, and $100 for 20 images. Students and seniors (age 65 and up) receive a $20 discount with proof of eligibility; discount code requests must be received by noon EST Monday, February 8th. All entrants will receive a one-year CPW membership; current members will have their membership renewed for one additional year.
