Photography National Juried Exhibition

Photography National Juried Exhibition at Dallas Metro Arts Contemporary, celebrating the range of photography from traditional film to digital and alternative means of display.

Eligibility: National artists 18 years or older. Original works of photography media executed during the past three years and never previously exhibited at DMAContemporary are accepted. Traditional film photography, digital photography, and alternative uses/display of photography (books, assemblage, sculpture works, etc.) are accepted provided works can be shipped and displayed without installation complications. Up to five works per artist may be submitted; the juror may accept multiple works by the same artist. All two-dimensional work must be framed and ready for installation with hanging hardware already installed. Size limit: entire work must not exceed 48 inches in width or 72 inches in height, and cannot exceed 75 pounds. No installations or video are accepted; diptychs or triptychs are at the discretion of the juror and director.

Entry Fee: $30 for minimum 2 entries, $5 per each additional entry up to a 5 entry maximum. Submissions accepted through CaFÉ from April 28 to June 7, 2020. Notification of acceptance on June 14, 2020. Shipping of accepted works due by June 28, 2020. Exhibition runs July 1-25, 2020, with closing reception and awards Saturday July 25, 6:00-9:00pm. Prizes: First Prize $1,000, Director's Choice Award (TBA), Visitor's Choice (TBA). Juror: Byrd Williams IV, internationally exhibited photographer.
