About This Call
The Photography Exhibition explores the theme 'A New Tomorrow' - ideas around innovation, economic growth, social development and environmental management in Qatar. The exhibition celebrates the talent and creativity of Qatari University Student and Alumni photographers who can communicate their personal reflections on these themes in an original and meaningful way.
Applicants must be over 18 and Qatari Students and Alumni in the UK. Work must have been made and conceived by the applicant, already exist, and have been made in the last five years. Submissions must include 1-3 photographic images in JPEG format (maximum 300 dpi or 3 MB per image), along with a description of each photograph including title, date, medium and dimensions in cm, a third-person biography, and a completed application form. Work must have a clear link to the theme, show informed understanding of photographic practice, demonstrate outstanding skill and quality of artistic concept, provide storytelling and narrative, and engage meaningfully with contemporary audiences.
A panel of judges will meet in September 2022 to select up to thirty finalists, whose work will be exhibited at a number of high level university venues within the UK. The deadline for entries is September 9 at 12:00 am (midnight) UK time.
