Photography Exhibit 2020

The Wickford Art Association's Photography Exhibit 2020 is open to non-members and members of the Association. This exhibit is not based in any particular theme. Any photographic genre, substrate, process, or perspective (contemporary, realistic, historical, abstract, experimental, or futuristic) is eligible. Artists of all levels who are at least 18 years or older are invited to enter.

Entry fees for non-WAA members are $35 for the first entry and $15 for each additional entry (up to 10 entries total). Current WAA members receive a 30% discount. Submit 1-10 images. All 2D and 3D media will be accepted as long as photography is the predominant element. All artwork must be original creations by the artist and exhibition ready. Artwork cannot be larger than 44 inches on the longest side including the frame. No saw-tooth hangers or ceiling hanging can be used. All artwork must be ready to sell; no work can be not-for-sale (NFS) or price-on-request (POR) without prior approval.

Registration deadline is August 31, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Notification of acceptance will be provided by September 18, 2020. In-person delivery of accepted work is October 13-14, 2020 (11 a.m.-3 p.m.) or shipped delivery by October 12, 2020. The exhibition runs October 23 through November 15, 2020. Opening reception is October 23, 2020 (6:30-8:30 p.m.), with prizes announced at 7:00 p.m. Cash awards total $600 ($200 - 1st prize, $150 - 2nd prize, $100 - 3rd prize, $75 - Honorable Mentions, 2 provided) plus two non-cash Judge's Award prizes. The WAA Gallery is located at 36 Beach Street, North Kingstown, RI 02852 and is wheelchair accessible. All exhibits and receptions are free and open to the public.
