Photographic Fine Art Call

Art Scene West is seeking up to 20 photographers for an exhibition at their downtown gallery in Seaport Village, San Diego, running December 14, 2024 through January 31, 2025. Selected artists will have their work displayed in the gallery and featured on the Art Scene West website with their artist bio, personal statement, artist photo, and artwork for sale. Artists will benefit from the gallery's social media, email, and local promotional campaigns during the exhibition, with an archive of the show permanently available online.

Submission Requirements: Artists may submit up to 4 images of their work. All photographs must be original work by the participating artist and available for sale. Images may be printed on any medium and must not exceed 24 inches on the longest side, including frame. Filters, enhancements, manipulations, and other alterations are acceptable. Submissions require a $25 entry fee. Selected artists must pay a $75 participation fee by November 30, 2024, and deliver artwork by December 12, 2024. An opening reception will be held on December 14, 2024. Unsold artwork will be returned to artists beginning February 3, 2025.

Artists must provide artwork information (title, dimensions, description, genre, asking price), artist information (bio up to 300 words, statement up to 300 words, optional artist photo, social media and website links if applicable), and contact information (email and phone number). Selected photographers will receive a 70% sales commission on any images sold. The submission deadline is November 22, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
