About This Call
Garrison Art Center invites photographers to submit work for a collaborative exhibition exploring life in the United States over the past decade. The exhibition seeks to present multiple perspectives—personal, political, cultural, and social—through the lens of photography, looking for compelling images that reflect the diverse realities, struggles, hopes, and contradictions that define the state of the nation.
The call is open to amateur and professional photographers working in all photographic mediums. Applicants must submit 3-8 images. Entry fee is $30.00 with an additional $10.00 media fee. A juror will select 30 works across three categories: People, Places, and Politics. Four awards will be given: $250 in each of the three categories, plus a Best in Show Award of $250 for an outstanding overall submission. The juror is Alan Haywood, a photographer with over forty years of experience and a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design.
Eligibility is open to international applicants 18 years and older. The online application opens June 5th and closes September 4th, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artists will be notified by September 30th. Artworks arrive at the art center October 21-24, with the opening reception on November 1, 2025, 5-7 PM. The exhibition runs November 1-23, 2025.
