About This Call
The Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts (RICPA) invites artists to submit work in series for Photo Stories, a juried international photography exhibition. This call for entries has no theme or prompt; entries will be juried as a set of images for an exhibition opening June 20th. The exhibition will take over all RICPA galleries through July 12th, 2019.
Submit 5 to 10 photographs that tell a story or explore an idea through a series. Open to all forms of photographic image-making in any process or technology. Work must be your original creation and exhibition ready (no saw-tooth hangers). Maximum size is 36" including the frame. The entry fee is $55 for the first five images and $10 for each additional image. Current RICPA members receive a 20% discount on entry fees. Artists of all levels who are at least 18 years old are eligible to enter.
The exhibition will be juried by Michael Itkoff, co-founder of Fabl and Daylight Books. Awards include First Place ($250), Second Place ($150), and Third Place ($100). The reception and awards presentation will be held June 20th, 2019 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Accepted work must be delivered by June 17th. RICPA retains a 40% commission on works sold (20% for current members). Contact [email protected] with questions.
