Photo Shoot: 2025 - Open Themed Juried Group Photo Show

Black Box Gallery is hosting an open themed juried group photo show. The exhibition is open to all photographers and welcomes all themes, styles, and genres, including landscape, architecture, portraiture, documentary, fashion, still life, conceptual projects, street photography, color and black and white, and nature photography.

The juror is Todd Johnson, founder and director of Black Box Gallery, who holds an MFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute and has 25 years of experience in arts education and curation. The exhibition will feature 26 photographs selected for display at the gallery (September 1-25, 2025), with an additional 50 photographs selected for the online gallery annex. All 76 photographs will be included in a catalog available for purchase on Blurb Books.

Black Box Gallery provides free printing, matting, and framing for all selected works. The gallery prints on an Epson Stylus Pro archival inkjet printer using Epson Premium Luster Photo paper in a color-calibrated environment. Selected photographers must provide high-resolution TIFF or JPEG files. Exhibition prints are kept in the gallery's flat files after the show for future promotion and sales. Black Box Gallery takes a 50% commission on sales, with 50% going to the photographer. All rights remain with the photographer, and no sale or printing occurs without prior consent. Entry fee is $40. Photographers may submit 1-5 images. The application deadline is August 8, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
