Photo Shoot: 2024

Black Box Gallery is hosting an open themed juried group photo show. The exhibition is open to all photographers and welcomes all themes, styles, and genres including landscape, architecture, portraiture, documentary, fashion, still life, conceptual projects, street, color and black and white, nature, and night photography.

Juror Todd Johnson, founder and director of Black Box Gallery, holds an MFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute and has 25 years of experience in arts education and curation. The exhibition will feature 24 photographs selected by the juror for display at the gallery, with an additional 30 photographs selected for exhibition in the online gallery annex. All 54 photographs will be included in a catalog available for purchase on Blurb Books. Exhibition dates are October 1-25, 2024.

Black Box Gallery provides free printing, matting, and framing for all selected work. Prints are produced on an Epson Stylus Pro archival inkjet printer on Epson Premium Luster Photo paper in a color-calibrated environment. Selected photographers must provide high resolution TIFF or JPEG files. Exhibition prints will be retained in the gallery's flat file after the show for future promotion and sale. Black Box Gallery takes a 50% commission on all sales, with 50% going to the photographer. Artists may request that their print not be for sale and be used for exhibition and promotion only. All rights remain with the photographer. Entry fee is $40. Submissions must include 1-5 images. Deadline: September 16, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
