Photo Shoot 2016

Black Box Gallery is hosting an open themed juried group photo show. The exhibition is open to all themes, ideas, methods, styles, and perspectives on photographic creativity. Submit 1-5 photographs. Entry fee is $35.00. Juror Todd Johnson, a conceptual and experimental photographer and founder/director of Black Box Gallery, will select work for exhibition.

Deadline for submissions is October 7, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Exhibition dates are November 1-20, 2016, with an opening reception on Friday, November 4, 6-8:00 pm. The juror will select 24 photographs for exhibition at the gallery and an additional 30 photographs for the online gallery annex. All 54 photographs will be included in a catalog available for purchase on Blurb Books. Photographers will be notified 10-14 days after the deadline about selections.

Black Box Gallery provides free printing, matting, and framing for all exhibitions. Selected photographers must provide high resolution Tiff or JPEG files. Prints are created on an Epson Stylus Pro archival inkjet printer on Epson Premium Luster Photo paper in a color-calibrated environment. Exhibition prints will be kept in a flat file after the show for future sale and promotion. Black Box Gallery takes a 50% commission on all sales, with 50% going to the photographer. Artists may request that prints not be for sale and be used for exhibition and promotion only. All rights remain with the photographer and require their prior consent for any use or sale.
