Photo Artfolio Photo Story Grant

Photo Artfolio invites photographers worldwide to apply for the Photo Story Grant. Applications are accepted through Friday, April 12th, 2024. The winning photographer will receive a $1,000 grant for an in-depth photo story. There are no restrictions on subject matter. Photo Artfolio is looking for strong storytelling images, emotional resonance, and a deep understanding of the subject, person, or issue being photographed. The winning photographer and photo story will be featured on the Photo Artfolio website and social media feeds.

Photographers must submit a minimum of 6 images with a maximum of 12, along with an artist's statement (no more than 2000 characters). Photographers are encouraged to include captions with their images. All work submitted must be original work created and owned by the submitting photographer. This grant is open to all forms and categories of photography with the exception of AI-generated work. The application fee is $35. Photographers may submit up to 5 applications per photographer.

This call is open to photographers worldwide, both amateur and professional, who are 18 years or older. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by Tuesday, May 7th, 2024. All images must be submitted in JPEG format, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, with a maximum file size of 5 MB. Grant winners are subject to federal income tax withholding within the United States and must complete a W-9 form. By submitting images, photographers agree that the images are their own work and that they own all rights to the images.
