About This Call
Perspectives: AMERICA invites artists to explore their perspective on America through visual work. The call seeks a conceptual deep dive into how artists see America—good, bad, love, hate—as a truthful expression of individual perspectives. Open to international artists with any relationship to America.
Submit 3-10 images. Media accepted includes photography, digital art, graphic design, illustration, videography, gifs, new media, painting, drawing, printmaking, and anything that can be printed or displayed digitally. Entry fee is $12 for 3 images, $6 per additional image. Deadline: April 28, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notification of acceptance will be sent 10-14 days after the deadline. Accepted artists have 7 days to provide print-ready files.
Specto Art Space prints all exhibition works for free using an Epson SureColor P6000 archival printer. All works are offered for sale through the gallery site and space. Specto retains a 35% commission on all sales, with 65% going to the artist. Artists retain copyright of their work. Awards include Best in Show (print included for sale at Superfine! DC 2019) and Honorable Mention ($100, 2 awarded). Juror: Jeremiah Morris, Curator and Founder of Specto Art Space. Contact: [email protected].
