This juried exhibition showcases contemporary portraiture in all media. The Springfield Art Association, the oldest visual arts organization in Central Illinois, invites artists of all media to submit their version of portraiture, including 2D, 3D, and electronic media. Both classical and unique approaches to portraits will be considered.

The exhibition will be held in the M. G. Nelson Family Gallery, offering 1400 square feet of high quality exhibition space in Springfield, Illinois. Cash prizes of $500, $300, and $200 will be awarded. The opening reception and awards ceremony is scheduled for June 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, with the exhibition closing on July 30.

Eligibility is open to all artists 18 years or older residing in the United States. Up to three different works may be submitted for a $30 entry fee ($25 for Springfield Art Association members). Entries must be submitted online through Call for Entry by April 28 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Accepted work must be received between May 27 and May 31, 2025. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and prepaid return shipping. The Springfield Art Association will retain a 35% commission on any work sold during the exhibition. All artwork is insured while in the possession of the SAA; artists are responsible for insurance on inbound and outbound shipping.
