About This Call
Perception is a juried ceramic exhibition exploring how we see, interpret, and interact with the world around us. All types of ceramic work are welcome, examining personal, cultural, and sensory interpretations of environment and experiences. The exhibition will be juried anonymously through digital image submissions. Juror: Bianka Groves.
Submissions must consist of ceramic artwork made of natural clay with no restrictions on design, finish, or technique. Artists may submit up to 3 pieces maximum. Free-standing pieces must be no taller or wider than 24 inches and no heavier than 20 lbs, and must be stable and pedestal ready. Wall pieces must be no taller or wider than 24 inches and no heavier than 10 lbs, and must be ready to be securely hung. All accepted entries must be marked with the artist's name, title, and retail price, and must be for sale during the exhibition. Works must have been completed in the last year. Entries shown in previous CLAY Festival juried exhibitions will not be accepted.
Entry fees are $30 for one piece and $5 for each additional piece (3 pieces maximum). Full-time students receive a $20 discount with code "Student". Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance of accepted work to and from the exhibition. Hand delivery and pickup are also acceptable. Shipped works must be sent in an easily reusable container with prepaid return shipping and insurance. Light Art Space retains 50 percent of the total sale price. The exhibition runs July 3-20, 2025 at Light Art Space, 209 West Broadway, Silver City, NM 88061. Public reception is July 4, 5-7 pm. Accepted entries must be received by June 27. Notification of accepted entries will be sent June 8. The exhibition is open to all artists 18 years and older residing in the United States and internationally.
