Pennsylvania Watercolor Society 45th Annual International Juried Exhibition

The Pennsylvania Watercolor Society invites artists to submit work for its 45th Annual International Juried Exhibition, held August 3 – September 15, 2024 at Lancaster Museum of Art, 135 Lime Street, Lancaster, PA 17602.

Artists may submit 1 or 2 images for consideration. Entry fee is $55 for non-members ($40 for PWS members with member code). All work must be original watermedia paintings on natural or synthetic paper, completed within the past 3 years (after March 2021), and not previously accepted in any PWS Exhibition. Framed size is limited to 40" in any direction. Paintings must be professionally framed, free of damage, with no saw tooth hangers. Plexiglass is required for all shipped paintings and hand-delivered work over half sheet (15" x 22"). No more than one entry per artist may be selected for exhibition.

Juror of Selection: Catherine O'Neill, AWS, NWS. Juror of Awards: Mick McAndrews, PWS (SGG), PWCS (CA), BWS. Awards include: 1st Place $1,750, 2nd Place $1,250, 3rd Place $1,000, 4th Place $800, PWS President's Awards $600, and PWS Board Members Award $500, plus additional cash and merchandise awards. PWS members accepted into two PWS Juried Exhibitions receive Signature Status and are eligible for Sylvan Grouse Guild Membership. Reception and Awards Presentation: Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm respectively. Entry Deadline: May 15, 2024. Artists will be notified by email after June 15, 2024. Hand-delivered paintings intake: Sunday, July 21, 2024, 12:00-3:00 pm. Shipped work deadline: July 18-20, 2024. A $50 shipping fee applies for accepted entries. Paintings may be listed for sale or not for sale (NFS); a 35% commission applies to sales. Payment for sold work will be released 30 days after the show closes.
