Pennsylvania Watercolor Society 44th Annual International Juried Exhibition

The Pennsylvania Watercolor Society invites artists to submit work for its 44th Annual International Juried Exhibition, held online at www.pawcs.com from September 23 - November 4, 2023. The exhibition is open to all artists 18 or older. Juror of Selection: Soon Y Warren. Juror of Awards: E Jane Stoddard.

Entry Requirements: Submit 1 or 2 original watermedia paintings on natural or synthetic paper (no canvas). Work must be hand-created, entirely your own, and completed within the past 3 years (after March 2020). Entries must not have been previously accepted in any PWS Exhibition, including the online PWS Members Show. Source material must be your own design or photograph; no class or workshop paintings. Images must be submitted as JPEG or JPG files, at least 1200 pixels on the longest side, maximum 5 MB. No more than one image per artist may be selected for exhibition.

Entry Fees: PWS Members $35 (with Member Code); Non-Members $50. Optional Catalog Donation: $5. Entry Deadline: July 31, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artists will be notified by email after August 20, 2023.

Awards: 1st Place $1,750, 2nd Place $1,250, 3rd Place $1,000, 4th Place $800, PWS President's Awards $600, PWS Board Members Award $500, plus additional cash and merchandise awards. PWS members accepted into two PWS Juried Exhibitions receive Signature Status and are eligible for Sylvan Grouse Guild Membership.

Artwork may be listed for sale or not for sale (NFS). Paintings accepted for exhibition may not be listed for sale in another exhibition during the scheduled exhibition dates (9/23/23-11/4/23). A 35% commission is charged on each sale, processed by PWS. Artists are responsible for shipping to buyers. Payment is released upon notification of shipment to the Juried Show Chairperson.
