About This Call

The 40th Peninsula Art League Summer Art Festival is a two-day outdoor event of juried artists and artisans attracting over 10,000 visitors to the Gig Harbor Peninsula. The festival will be held July 18th and 19th, 2026 at Sehmel Homestead Park northwest of downtown Gig Harbor, Washington. Artists from the Pacific Northwest and around the country will display their work in 120+ booths where attendees can meet and talk with artists while viewing a wide range of artwork. The festival features a literary corner of authors and illustrations, food trucks, two days of live music, the Peninsula Art League Member Art Show, and Kid's Corner activities.

The festival proudly includes juried "Emerging Artists" with 10 spots available for up-and-coming artists who have not exhibited at the Summer Art Festival before. Artists may apply in more than one media category but must submit separate applications for each category with different bodies of work, with a maximum of three categories from one profile. Media categories include Basketry, Book Arts, Ceramics/Pottery, Drawing, Fiber Arts/Textiles, Garden Art, Glass Art, Jewelry, Metal Art, Mixed Media, Mosaic, Other, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, and Woodworking. All art must be original and executed by the applying artist, with no mass-produced work, imported items, or items made from kits accepted.

Booth spaces are 10' x 10' (single) or 10' x 20' (double) in a quadrant setup with each artist having a corner booth. All booths will be on grass only with no electrical hookups. Artists must supply their own fire-resistant tents with fire extinguishers and sufficient weights for wind resistance. No commission is charged and artists retain all revenue. The application fee is free, with booth fees available at early bird pricing if purchased by April 5th, 2026 for a $40 discount. Applications are due March 6, 2026, with notification by email on March 13, 2026.
