About This Call
The Peacock Arts District (PAD) Mural Program invites qualified muralists to apply for public art commissions involving the installation of murals within the Peacock Arts District in Fort Pierce. The program aims to promote and commemorate Fort Pierce's rich cultural heritage, reinforce the growth of arts and culture within the city, and increase tourism and economic development to the Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency (FPRA) area. Murals will be installed on privately owned property in partnership with their respective owners. The project strives for diversity of style, scale, and media represented in a series of murals on buildings within the PAD.
Two properties are available for mural installations: 526 Ave. A Property and 717 Orange Ave. Property. Applicants must have experience in creating exterior murals. Applicants can apply for more than one property and can submit up to three digital designs for the mural proposal. Designs should be depicted on the wall space of choice to help with understanding what it will look like in actuality. Up to two applications are allowed per applicant. Work sample requirements include a minimum of 2 and maximum of 3 images.
Entry deadline: May 30, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Eligibility is open to national applicants. Contact: [email protected]
