About This Call
Peace Talks is a national exhibition call in all mediums that invites artists to reflect on the many dimensions of peace — personal, political, spiritual, and environmental. The exhibition centers on dialogue: between cultures, between generations, and within the self. The title references formal negotiations between nations or opposing forces, but also evokes quiet conversations, collective or individual protest, internal reckonings, and the soft language of reconciliation.
Metro Art Studios is a non-profit arts organization located in the South End of Bridgeport, CT, housed in a renovated corset factory with 38 loft studios and Crown Gallery. The exhibition will be juried by Eduardo Andres Alfonso, Associate Curator of the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield, CT. The show runs August 3 to September 20, 2025, with a reception on Sunday, September 7, 1-3 PM.
Entry fee is $35 for up to three entries. Artists must be 18 years or older and submit original work in any medium except video and sound. Work must fit through a standard doorway; no maximum or minimum size restrictions apply. Framed works must use plexiglass only, no glass. Entries are due July 3, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Accepted artwork must arrive by July 26, 2025. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and must provide pre-paid return shipping labels. Metro Art Studios retains a 40% commission on all sales. Artists will be paid for works sold within 30 days after the exhibition closes. Limited no-cost entries are available based on financial need; contact [email protected] for information.
