Pastel Society of Colorado Exhibition

The Pastel Society of Colorado invites soft pastel artists 18 years of age or older to submit original paintings for exhibition. All submissions must be digital images of original paintings completed within the last two years that have not been previously shown in any PSC exhibition.

Eligibility Requirements: Work must be original, designed and composed by you using your own reference, and not copied from other artists or published materials. AI-generated images are not eligible. Work done under supervision in a class or workshop is not eligible. Artwork's final surface must be predominantly (80%) traditional dry pastel. If collage materials are used, they must be created by the artist. All artwork must be originally drawn/painted and not created over photographic images or prints.

Submission Details: Up to 5 paintings may be submitted, with a maximum of 2 paintings per artist accepted into the show. Each painting must have either a sale price or be marked not for sale (NFS), based on framed price. Entry fees are $30 for PSC members (up to 3 paintings, $5 each additional) or $40 for non-members (up to 3 paintings, $5 each additional). The entry fee is non-refundable and must be paid by the deadline of January 13, 2025. Submit high-quality JPEG images at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images should show only the artwork itself without matting, frames, or background distractions. All artists will receive notification by email by the end of the day on January 28, 2025. Award winners will be announced on February 1, 2025. The show will be displayed on ShowSubmit.com and pastelsocietyofcolorado.org.
