PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE

PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE is a juried photography exhibition exploring how artists process their past, capture their present, and envision their future. The exhibition seeks imagery that tells a story of beginning, middle, and end—artists may submit work representing any combination of these three temporal perspectives.

The exhibition will be featured on Specto Art Space's website and social media channels during March 2019, and will be displayed as a slideshow gallery at Superfine! DC 2019. Specto will print, mat, and frame all accepted works at no additional cost to artists. The juror is Jeremiah Morris, Curator and Founder of Specto Art Space. Each exhibition consists of 20-24 accepted works.

Entry fee is $35 for the first 5 images, plus $7 per additional image (maximum 10 images). Submit 5-10 images in photography, digital art, graphic design, scanography, phoneography, or other innovative media. All files must be print-ready at 300 DPI. Accepted artists will be notified 10-14 days after the deadline and have 7 days to provide print-ready files. Best in Show winners receive space in Specto's booth at Superfine! DC 2019. Honorable Mention awards include two $100 awards and three free entries to Specto's annual portfolio prize application. All accepted works are promoted and available for purchase through Specto's site for 60 days beginning the opening day of the exhibition. Artists set their own prices and retain 65% of sales, with Specto retaining 35%. Artists always retain copyright of their work. After each show, all works are cataloged in an archive for continued promotion.
