pARTy Till the Cows Come Home

pARTy Till the Cows Come Home is a juried exhibition celebrating the Great Cow Harbor Day Weekend in Northport, NY. Artworks on the theme of cows, farm life, the Great Cow Harbor races, festival, and the Village of Northport are invited. Artists from throughout the United States may apply. The exhibition runs September 3-30, 2023.

All original media is acceptable, including drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, collage, fabric work, glasswork, jewelry, and digital media. Entries must be original artwork with no reproductions (except photography). Maximum size is 30" x 40" including framing. All art must be for sale; the gallery takes a 35% commission. Artists are responsible for insuring their own works. Canvases must be wired for hanging; works on paper may be matted and will be hung "Clothespin Style." Framed pieces 16" x 20" and larger must have plexiglass instead of glass. Jewelry must be framed.

Entry fee is $35 for one piece; up to three additional pieces may be submitted for $5 each. Up to two pieces per selected artist will be included in the exhibition. Drop-off dates are August 31, 5:00pm-8:00pm and September 1, 12:00pm-3:00pm at The Firefly Artists Gallery, 162 Main Street, Northport, NY. Hand delivery and pickup are preferred; if shipping, a prepaid return label must be included. Pickup dates are October 1, 2:00pm-5:00pm and October 2, 3:00pm-5:00pm. A storage fee of $5 per day applies for pieces left beyond October 5, 2023. Awards include First, Second, Third, and Honorable Mention. An art reception is scheduled for September 9, 2023, 3:00pm-5:00pm.
