Part-time Gallery Assistant

Aurora PhotoCenter, an Indianapolis nonprofit, supports visual artists working in photography through exhibitions, residencies, workshops, artist talks, and access to creative tools. Aurora is the only nonprofit of its type in Indiana that hosts continuous photography programming throughout the year; Aurora has the only rentable darkroom and digital imaging lab in Indianapolis. We seek a Part-Time Gallery Assistant to provide support in the galleries and labs. Required duties include: Open and close facility, greet visitors and provide info on exhibitions and other programming, mix chemistry and set up for members renting darkroom, assist members with basic scanning and digital printing questions. Pay: $20 per hour. Hours: Approximately 5-10 hours per week, primarily on Friday and/or Saturday.
