About This Call
For 55 years, the Park Point Community Club has hosted the Park Point Art Fair at the Park Point Recreation Area on the last weekend in June. The fair showcases 110 professionally juried artists from across the region and nation in a unique setting on the largest freshwater baymouth bar in the world. The community hosts a free appreciation dinner for artists and volunteers.
The fair accepts fine art and craft in the following media: ceramics, 2-D painting and printmaking, fiber, glass, photography, jewelry, wood, mixed media, and sculpture. All work must be original design and execution by the applying exhibitor with no commercial molds, kits, imports, or country crafts. Five images are viewed simultaneously and judged on originality, craftsmanship, design, and continuity. A total of 105 artists are selected through jury, with 10 additional artists placed on a waitlist. Artists are awarded for excellence based on an on-site review by art professionals, with a total of $1,300 awarded in seven categories plus Best of Show.
Application fee is $35 and booth fee is $300 for a single booth (approximately 10'x10' space). Application fees must be received within one week of submission. Booth fees must be received by April 29. Booth fees will be refunded less $50 until May 7; after May 7, no refunds are issued. Application fees are non-refundable. Artists must be present at the fair on both days (Saturday and Sunday, 10 am-5 pm). All work must be consistent with images submitted to the jury. Artists are responsible for their own display materials, insurance, and protecting their work. Exhibitors must collect Minnesota State sales tax (8.875% total) on sales.
